‘ I have actually discovered that books can carry children to another location.’ Judith has been offering as a bedside reader at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust given that 2003. He started as a mental health assistance employee and went on to train as a general nurse. He certified at 37 and spent the next twenty years progressively rising. I understood immediately it was a stroke.’ In July 2023, after an active vacation kayaking and walking, Bob all of a sudden had a stroke. He was zipped air ambulance to University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, where he invested 4 weeks rehabilitating. ‘I utilized the gym frequently and did neurorehabilitation online (NROL)’. NROL is a group rehab program for people who have actually had a stroke or have other neurological conditions. ‘I had a structured timetable which offered me something to eagerly anticipate each week – socially, mentally and mentally.’ Bob thanked NHS staff for ‘the fantastic support’ and the ongoing physiotherapy he received. Well done Bob and terrific work group! Early recognition of stroke signs can save lives. If you see somebody with any signs or signs of a stroke, remember to Act F.A.S.T. ‘ Working alongside nurses and seeing the difference they made inspired me to think, ‘I could do that!” Meet Sharon, a sexual health nurse and non-medical prescriber who started her nursing journey in 1985 at the Royal Liverpool Teaching Hospital. In 2010 she signed up with Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust and continues to serve clients in Hertfordshire. ‘I loved assisting people and discovering the body, so nursing simply felt right.’ Sharon shows. Sharon has operated in male infertility, menopause, miscarriage and colposcopy to call a couple of, showing the large range of areas in which nurses make a distinction. ‘Truly, I can’t think of a location where nurses do not make an effect in some form,’ Sharon admits. On why her function is unique, Sharon explains, ‘The care, generosity, and empathy we bring make the nursing function special.
